How to participate

Would you like to experience something new and develop your competence? How about expanding your international networks to other vocational students and working life? Taitaja2024, Finnish National Skills Competition in Kuopio,
20-23 May 2024. Taitaja Competition is the largest annual vocational education event in Finland. It attracts over 50,000 visitors to take part in the event. In May 2024 the competition is organised by Savo vocational college, the Joint Authority of Education in the Savo region.

Taitaja2024 International Program

The competition for the Finnish championship includes 50 skills and approximately 500 competitors. Taitaja2024 final competition is open for international competitors from around the world. Students in your organisation are offered for a chance to take part as guest competitors in certain skills. Please note that all applicants cannot participate in the competition, but everybody will be notified of their application results after the registration deadline. International competitors pay for their own travel and accommodation. There are no fees for competing.

Taitaja2024 gives a chance to enjoy an interesting program, find inspiration in Finnish top expertise and a possibility to build networks with other VET specialists and organisations.

How can I participate in the Competition?

You are welcome to participate in Taitaja2024 competition as an international competitor. Please contact your national Skills organisation and inform them your participation.

Please note that all applicants cannot participate in the competition, but everybody will be notified of their application results after the registration deadline. International competitors pay for their own travel and accommodation. There are no fees for competing.

Some skills we would like to invite international experts (teachers) to judge in the competition. This information will be published later.
